ORGANIZED CRIME GRAND JURY CHARGES CRIMINALITY AT LANDFILL.(CAPITAL REGION)

The state Organized Crime Task Force grand jury investigation of irregularities at the town's now closed landfill has moved to freeze at least $107,000 in bank accounts for alleged criminal activities, an agency spokesman acknowledged Friday.

Richard Laskey, a task force spokesman, identified the two individuals involved in the attachment as Randall Schauble of Averill Park and John Hillenbrandt of Castleton.

The court papers ordering the attachment of the funds were filed earlier this week in state Supreme Court in Rensselaer County. While a court employee acknowledged the papers had been filed, they could not …
